Tammi Rogers talks about The Dearly Departed

Q: What is The Dearly Departed?
Tammi: It is a feature film written and directed by Stephen Mitchell with whom I did The Interloper. It revolves around the passing of a family matriarch and the numerous and conflicting schemes and plots that are put into action by various family members and even complete strangers. It’s a comedy.

Q: Who are you in all of this?
Tammi: I’m Mama Zeeba and don’t you forget it! She’s a woman who likes to stir things up until everything meets with her satisfaction.

Q: Where is the story set?
Tammi: In a small southern town where manners still count and appearances are everything. I’m one of an ensemble cast who is sure to upset the apple cart in as much as she has seven felony warrants outstanding and scams people out of their money by telling them their fortune with tarot cards.

Q: What is the status of the movie?
Tammi: Stephen wrote the characters for each one of us specifically and we’ve had our table read. We should start shooting the first of the month.
